Volunteering with Habitat
Help members of our community build a stronger future.... one project at a time!
Looking for a fun and rewarding activity for yourself or a small group? Come volunteer with us! All skill levels are welcome. This could be a great opportunity to learn something new, volunteer, alongside some of the best people in town, and make a difference in our community. Help build it!
ReStore Opportunities: We are seeking volunteers to help during our open hours. Volunteers will assist the staff processing incoming donations, displaying merchandise, organizing the warehouse, assisting customers, and much more. Interested volunteers can email Melissa to sign up for a volunteer shift, [email protected] or call 231-597-9463.
Construction Opportunities: We are actively seeking volunteers to help us with our home repair projects and our new home rehab project. The type of projects we need with will include painting, landscaping, drywall and so many other aspects. Those interested in volunteering as a group or individually, please fill out a volunteer application and submit so we can connect you with current opportunities.
Board Members: We are seeking volunteers who want to assist with the big picture planning to help grow the organization. We need folks with a background in construction, finance, retail, marketing, social work, and many others. Those interested can learn complete our Board Member Application and email to [email protected].

Types of Volunteer Opportunities
Construction - Volunteers are needed to assist with home repair projects from landscaping to painting and so much more. Interested volunteers can fill out a volunteer application and submit it back to us, so we can reach out when opportunities become available.
ReStore - Volunteers are needed to greet and assist customers, help load and unload merchandise, and clean, inspect, and put away donations.
Board of Directors - We are currently looking for Cheboygan County residents looking to serve as a member of Board of Directors. Board meetings are typically held every other month at 5:30 pm on the third Tuesday of the month. We are needing community members with the following backgrounds: finance, marketing, retail, construction and social services.
Committees - Volunteers are needed to serve on one of our many committees including finance, fund development and church relations, banquet, ReStore, construction, and program services. Meetings are typically an hour long and most committees meet monthly.
Office - We are currently looking for volunteers to help answer phones, greet clients and some clerical duties as needed.
Events - Volunteers are always needed on occasion to help with fundraising events.
