Position Summary: This position will manage and perform the procedures for the recruitment, processing, selection and retention of Program Partner and Volunteers for CCHFH’s Housing Programs including our Homeownership Program, Home Repair Program and Hospice Ramp Program. Organization Overview: The ReStore mission is to generate revenue through the sale of donated building materials and household items, thereby providing support for both the operating budget and the HFH mission to build safe and affordable housing for people in need. Through its efforts, the ReStore facilitates recycling, minimizes waste, provides low-cost home improvement items, and increases Habitat's visibility in our community. All employees are expected to be engaged in the mission while on the job. In their everyday life, employees are requested to demonstrate a positive, ethical reflection of the HFH mission.
Reports to: Executive Director. The Habitat ReStore is not a separate entity from Cheboygan County Habitat for Humanity, the ReStore Manager will work closely with the Executive Director.

Position Summary: The ReStore Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of employees, volunteers, inventory, business operations, sales strategies, and general presentation and upkeep of the retail floor. The ReStore Manager ensures alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and core values and sets the standard of customer service by leading by example and ensuring associates and volunteers consistently go above and beyond customer expectations. The ReStore is a retail business that sells donated building materials, furniture, and appliances at discounted prices to generate revenue to support Cheboygan County Habitat for Humanity in our mission to build homes, communities and hope.
Position Requirements: Must be self-motivated, collaborative, reliable, enthusiastic, and willing to lead by example. Must possess excellent communication and conflict resolution skills. Must be committed to maintaining a safe work environment. Must have the ability to provide transformational leadership and supervision to staff and volunteers while also having the ability to perform most tasks in the absence of staff or volunteers. Must have the ability and willingness to learn computer programs as needed. Must be able to operate standard office and retail equipment.

Position Summary: The Site Supervisor is responsible to perform the hands-on and supervisory activities necessary for the construction, rehabilitation, and repairing of residential homes. Under the supervision of Construction Manager, and in coordination with other key staff and subcontractors, effectively utilize the labor and enthusiasm of Habitat’s volunteer workforce; uphold Habitat’s quality and safety standards; work as a community partner; and promote Habitat’s mission to create housing opportunities and revitalize neighborhoods.
Education and Experience: Current builder’s license in the state of Michigan required or willingness to attain builders license within 180 days of hire. Current driver’s license. Two years of working knowledge and experience of general construction work including framing, siding, roofing, drywall, insulation and finish work. Familiar with local building codes. Basic computer skills. Ability to perform all construction duties, such as lifting 75lbs.; climbing extension ladders and scaffolding; working in unconditioned workspaces in the heat of summer and cold of winter.

Primary Duties:
- Housing Program Selection and Support
- Develop and maintain Program Partner recruitment process;
- Coordinate and implement small group and public speaking orientations to educate homeowner candidates about the CCHFH Housing Programs and Mission;
- Evaluate and make recommendations for changes in process, where appropriate;
- Review, adjust, create and implement necessary Program Services policy and make sure current practices are consistent with policies;
- Manage homeowner selection process;
- Review program interest forms and send appropriate resources and applications;
- Develop applicant orientations and assist individuals and families throughout process of completing the housing application;
- Track and screen applications before submitting to Program Services Committee for review;
- Maintain homeowner files;
- Track sweat equity hours and send quarterly sweat equity reports;
- Keep partner families abreast of upcoming classes, events, and sweat equity opportunities;
- Provide staff support to Program Services Committee, including scheduling, coordinating and attending committee meetings;
- Work with Program Partners on all aspects of their journey with CCHFH;
- Assist Executive Director and Construction Team to develop needed Program Services documents including Homeowner Maintenance Binder and similar documents;
- Develop and maintain volunteer recruitment, retention and recognition procedures;
- Prepare and execute volunteer recruitment, retention, and appreciation for all CCHFH volunteers;
- Maintain volunteer calendar/schedule and coordinate with team about upcoming volunteers;
- Maintain volunteer database and complete volunteer acknowledgements in a timely manner.
- Develop Volunteer Relations Committee to assist with greeting volunteers on site, coordinating lunches and taking photos during volunteer shifts.

1. Operational:
- • Promote donations, drive sales and profits of the ReStore to provide sustainable funding to support Cheboygan County Habitat for Humanity.
- • Implement strategies to achieve the goals and objectives identified in the affiliate plan.
- • Work with affiliate staff to develop marketing and advertising programs to build store’s visibility in the community.
- • Establish and maintain relationships with potential and existing donors, including contractors, suppliers, individuals, businesses, community and church groups to increase quality and quantity of merchandise donations.
- • Implement and review procedures for the safe, secure and high-quality performance of all aspects of ReStore activities.
- • Oversee the effective merchandising of the floor, maximizing available display space and use inventory control and pricing to ensure appropriate turnover of merchandise.
- • Oversee scheduling of all store activities including staff schedules and volunteer schedules.
- • Ensure that all areas of the store, rest rooms, and warehouse are clean and safe.
- • Develop relationships with other area ReStore managers to identify “best practices” and programs that are mutually beneficial.
- • Attend and participate in ReStore-related training opportunities.
- • Ensure compliance with all financial reporting practices: reconciling of daily sales and the daily closing out of all financial transactions.
- • Develop and enforce pricing policy and processes for store merchandise. Review and adjust pricing as necessary for changing market conditions.

- • Create written monthly report of sales activities, labor percent, expenses, volunteer hours, and outreach efforts to provide a snapshot of the current state of the ReStore for the Board Packet.

Construction:
- Performs all hands-on construction tasks as directed by the Construction Manager.
- “Fixes” any construction task performed below acceptable standards by volunteers.
- Suggests potential advantageous building practices and material cost savings opportunities to construction manager as identified.
- Assists in the supervision of all site preparation and layout.
- Assists in the supervision of job sites on each designated workday and works to ensure construction is accomplished in accordance with approved permits and plans.
- Assists in training volunteers and Program Partners about construction tasks and appropriate safety measures;
- Ensure that the site is cleaned up properly at the end of each workday;
Supervise Subcontractors, Volunteers and Program Partners:
- Assists in the training of volunteer house leaders and volunteer crew leaders.
- Treats Program Partners and volunteers with respect and dignity. Strives to make their construction involvement meaningful.
- Assists with scheduling subcontractors and keeping open lines of communication with them;
- Coordinate the work of volunteers and sub-contractors;
- Involve the future homeowners in the construction process;
- Assure that all work done is high quality and completed in a timely manner;
- Ensure that all needed tools and equipment are on site for each shift;
Other Duties as Assigned by the Construction Manager:
- Assist with solicitation of bids, quote and gift in kind from local contractors;
- Assist with ordering Habitat gift in kind from the Habitat portal;
- Assist with delivery of materials and tools to different jobsites as needed;
- Attend competent person safety training and any other required training.
